Honorary Treasurer
Ellyse graduated from La Trobe University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics. Since graduating, Ellyse gained prosthetic and orthotic experience whilst working at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane. Currently, Ellyse is a Senior Orthotist within the Queensland Paediatric Rehabilitation Service and Queensland Cerebral Palsy Health service at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Brisbane. She has a special interest in the management of paediatric clients with Cerebral Palsy and Acquired Brain Injuries. In addition, Ellyse continues to enjoy promoting and advancing the role of orthotists within the multidisciplinary team.
Ellyse became a member of ISPO Australia in 2008. Ellyse quickly became actively involved in ISPO, joining the convening committee for the Gold Coast annual scientific meeting, 2009. Enjoying her role in the convening committee, Ellyse was keen to continue her active role in ISPO.
As a relatively new member of ISPO, Ellyse believes ISPO offers health professionals a variety of educational tools to promote the ongoing development of knowledge in prosthetics and orthotics. Ellyse looks forward to her new role as Treasurer to support the Executive Committee fulfil ISPO’s outreach, educational and research activities. |
