ISPO Australia Outreach Committee
Lee Brentnall has a Bachelor Prosthetics and Orthotics (Honours) from La Trobe University and a Master of Public Health, James Cook University. She has worked in various clinical and educational roles in Australia, Kiribati, Sri Lanka and more recently consulting to Fiji National University
Lee has been a member of the ISPO Australia Outreach Committee since 2006 after working for two years at the Kiribati Tungaru Rehabilitation Service; a project initiated by ISPO Australia’s Outreach Committee. During this time Lee facilitated a Pacific Regional Stroke Seminar, also supported by ISPO Australia, and attended by prosthetist, orthotists and physiotherapists from the Pacific region. Through this work she has an understanding of the possibilities available to ISPO Australia’s Outreach Committee to assist in improving rehabilitation in the Pacific, particularly for those with prosthetic and orthotic needs
In her new role and Chair, Outreach Committee, Lee hopes to support her South Pacific colleagues to continue to develop the capacity of prosthetic, orthotic and rehabilitation services whilst also strengthening their professional networks. Lee looks forward to working with the Outreach Committee and those working in prosthetic/orthotic services in the region.
