Phoebe Thomson

ISPO Australia Committee Member

Phoebe graduated with a Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics in 2007. Phoebe currently works as a prosthetist at Orthopaedic Techniques in Melbourne, working with public and private patients of a wide variety of ages and pathologies. Prior to this position, Phoebe worked at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne for 4.5 years, specialising in the management of children with Cerebral Palsy, burns and limb deficiency.

Phoebe first became involved with ISPO Australia in 2009, when she was invited to convene an advanced instructional course on the multidisciplinary management of children and young adults with Cerebral Palsy. This was a three-day course held in Melbourne in November 2010, which attracted a wide variety of healthcare professionals from across Australia and abroad.

Phoebe recognises the skills and knowledge she gained from being involved in the running of an ISPO conference has enabled her to grow as a professional. As such, Phoebe is excited to join the ISPO Executive Committee and contribute to the running of the organisation. Phoebe’s role within the Executive Committee will be to lead the organisation’s strategic planning to provide a clear direction for the future of ISPO Australia over the next triennium.
