Training in Prosthetics and Orthotics
ISPO is responsible for the accreditation of training providers in P&O. A list of training providers is maintained by ISPO.
Through its Annual Scientific Meetings and Advanced Instructional Courses, ISPO Australia assists in developing the evidence base for P&O and related care.
ISPO is not a training provider for undergraduates. It does, though, assist countries in planning their P&O workforce, by making recommendations for training strategies. ISPO, through its outreach committee, has facilitated placements by experienced professionals across a range of disciplines to hospitals and health care centres throughout the pacific region. ISPO is also able to assist with developing proposals for funding of activities of this nature, but is rarely able to offer direct funding.
